Text Box: Brief History: In October 1976, founder, Bishop J.L. Payne, D.D., arranged a special meeting in the Christian Academy’s interest. The Christian School was formed and founded at the site of the Greater Community Temple Church, Greenville, Mississippi where Bishop Payne was founder and pastor. The school was formed and founded. A school board was appointed. Sincere Parents and Church’s members joined in prayer with the Superintendent and Text Box: President of the school and its newly appointed board in this magnanimous effort for Christ. Continuous prayer was offered for God’s constant guidance and direction. Primary Purpose & Uniqueness: The outstanding need for every community and people is to fulfill Christ’s mission into all the world, “Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.” It Text Box: is the primary purpose of our Church / School and Payne Bible College to meet this need by establishing students in the basic concepts of the Bible, with in-depth study into the Gospels and the Epistles, and by training them in “action experience” with deeper Christian knowledge and devotion to the proper methods of approach in the various fields of Christian service. We are basically an organization with the mission of Christ to a lost world!
